Bamiyan has also featured on SBS Food Safari (Afghan Cuisine) and will be on air 4th April 2013. Also many good reviews on food critic websites such as Eatability, Arbanspoon, Beyond jelly, Grab your fork, Australian Food Guide and many more websites have meant that Bamiyan Restaurant is on the Top 20 Best Restaurants in Sydney and the best in the Five Dock area.
Afghan cuisine is dedicated to portraying many different flavours though it has similarities with neighbouring countries such as India, Magnolia, Persi Usbrkstan, Tajikistan and Greece way back from Alexandria the Great. Afghan cuisine is undeniably unique and has been considered one of the most flavor some cuisines worldwide. Flavours of Afghan food is including four masalas saffron, cardman cumin, chilly, coriander, mint and black pepper. Vegetable such as onion, tomato and yogurt are also of major importance. Signature dishes include Kabuli Pallow, Dumpling Ashaak and Mantu and of course it's fresh Naan bread. Afghan cuisine reflects its ethnic and geographic diversity for all to enjoy.
